Description
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who will write and find stories for publication in our daily print newspaper and for our online website. The Medicine Hat news beats that will be assigned are court, police, crime, emergency situations and other civic issues.
Qualifications
- A post secondary diploma or degree in related field preferred, but not necessary.
- This reporter must own a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s licence.
- Must also be willing to immediately re-locate to Medicine Hat.
It is a contract position until March 31, 2027. From there, we will evaluate and possible further employment. Regardless, it is a valuable opportunity to learn and grow. Remuneration will be based on the current union contract.
