Description
Rivernotes is a weekly blog published on asf.ca through the angling season (late April to the end of October). It provides news, angling conditions, images and stories from Atlantic salmon rivers throughout eastern North America.
The Atlantic Salmon Federation is seeking proposals for the position of Rivernotes editor for the 2025 season. The successful applicant(s) will be responsible for the production and publication of 23 editions of the blog. Each edition must endeavour to provide content from each of the regions (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Maine). Rivernotes editions go live on asf.ca on Thursday mornings and are followed by a mass email, also the responsibility of the successful applicant(s). Total work required is about 12 hours per edition.
Qualifications
The successful applicant(s) will report to the Director of Marketing, and will work with and have support from the Communications and Marketing Department.
Proposals must include the following: - Cover letter - stating you found this job on Jeff Gaulin's Journalism Job Board
- CV or resume for the applicant/co-applicants
- Related experience (writing, editing, photo editing, blog publication, etc.)
- Proposed workflow for blog production and publication
- Proposed compensation and method of payment
