The Carillon, southeastern Manitoba's award winning community newspaper based in Steinbach, has an opening for a reporter. This position involves news and feature writing and also includes photography. Some familiarity with rural communities would be an asset as would skills in photography. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package; remuneration will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Qualifications
- Applicants should have previous experience in media and a post-secondary degree in journalism or at least two years of relevant experience in print, online and/or broadcast journalism.
- Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively under deadline pressure together with basic knowledge of computer software programs and a valid driver's licence.
