Description
An ideal opportunity for a writer/journalist who can work independently and wishes a steady freelance income, with likely opportunity to grow (if you wish) into a part or full time employment opportunity (with salary and benefits). At present, we're seeking someone who can generate one "solid" story (with some depth and interviews) and between three and five briefs per week for Ontario Construction News, a daily electronic construction trade newspaper. Compensation will be monthly or twice-monthly (your choice) on a regular schedule. Content needs to be relevant to Ontario's construction industry. Working schedule is up to you, as long as the job gets done.
Qualifications
- Ability to write business news stories and features in Canadian Press style
- Should be in Ontario and qualified to work legally in Canada

If you meet basic qualifications, we'll invite you to suggest story ideas, and then, (based on your suggestions) you will be invited to write an introductory a freelance article for which we will compensate you if your story is published.
