The Communications & Public Affairs (C&PA) Division is responsible for advancing York University's image and reputation by providing strategic advice and counsel to York senior management, disseminating news, strategic communications planning, developing, and implementing internal and external communications, strategic marketing, special events, and developing strong relationships with key constituency groups, including alumni, donors, community groups and all levels of government.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time contract to May 2023.
In this role you will support the achievement of the University's objectives and academic priorities, and successes through a variety of editorial tools to protect, maintain and enhance the University's brand and reputation. You will be primarily responsible for writing original editorial content for YFile, campus LCD screens, and other major institutional editorial materials.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
A University degree in Journalism, Communications (Mass or Corporate), Marketing, English or any communications related field and five (5) years' recent relevant experience in a combination of public relations and editorial/publications positions, with at least 2 years experience at the 'editorship' level.
