The Low Down seeks a part time reporter/photographer.
Come join our feisty English weekly located in beautiful Wakefield, Quebec (just 30 minutes north of Ottawa).
This job is part-time, about 20 hours per week covering one of the most dynamic, interesting and eclectic communities in Canada. The Low Down is independently owned and operated and our pages show it: our readership is strong and we have won Best Overall Newspaper at the Quebec Community Newspaper Awards two years running.
Duties include: Conducting interviews, research, taking photos, writing news stories for both print and digital; some social media.
Candidates must have experience or a university degree or college diploma in journalism, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Bilingualism is a strong asset. Schedule is flexible, and may include some weekend and evening work.
