Glacier's Resource Innovation Group seeks a full-time junior staff reporter who will contribute editorial to Canadian Mining Journal and The Northern Miner.
Responsibilities will include generating and writing mining-related stories and profiles, managing the CMJ website and posting stories to both publications’ websites. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark on two longstanding industry publications.
Established in 1882, CMJ is Canada’s oldest mining publication. Published 10 times a year, we cover mining operations based in Canada, with a focus on new technology, equipment and innovations.
The Northern Miner is a biweekly newspaper established in 1915 that covers the global mining industry.
The ideal candidate will have either: a journalism degree or diploma; a university degree with a focus on business, mining engineering or chemistry; a business writing background or knowledge about the mining industry; or experience covering other industries for established trade publications. In addition to being a great writer, you will be detail oriented, and have experience with WordPress or a similar CMS.
