We
are currently recruiting for a Communications Coordinator to work with Communications
& Public Affairs Division for this exciting Limited Term opportunity. 



Are
you a Communications professional with writing and publishing experience? Do
you possess at least 7 years’ of experience employed within the
Editorial/Publications sector? Do you possess a heightened awareness level of
and ability to work in a political environment? Do you possess advanced knowledge
and comprehension of research tactics? If so, keep reading!



In this role, you will be responsible for advancing York
University's image and reputation by providing strategic advice and counsel to
York senior management; disseminating news; developing and implementing
internal and external communications, strategic marketing, special events; and
developing relationships with key constituency groups, including alumni,
donors, community groups and all levels of government. C&PA includes the following
units: Media Relations, Marketing & Creative Services, Strategic
Communications, and Strategic Initiatives & Administration.

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

  • A University degree or equivalent in journalism, communications (mass or corporate), marketing or English. 

  • In addition, the successful incumbent will possess 7 - 9 years' of recent relevant experience in editorial/publications positions, with at least 4 years’ experience as a senior editor of a publication representing "editorship" level experience.
