Peter Diekmeyer is a Montreal-based freelance business writer. He writes a weekly managment column for the Montreal Gazette, a thrice-monthly economics column for Bankrate.ca coupled with assorted speeches, annual reports and so on.
He has a B.Com. from Concordia and pursued studies in Law, MBA and CA programs, but dropped out of all three, after failed attempts at explaining to the academics how they were wrong about everything.
He worked for three years as a security guard in an insane asylum and five years running an ad agency, but found little difference between the two. He also ran the accounting department of an integrated packaging company and did a stint as an infantry officer in the Canadian armed forces.
In the six years since turning to journalism, the only career that would satisfy his intense curiosity and short attention span, he has written almost 1,000 published pieces, visited 20 countries and interviewed more than 200 CEOs. |
