The current program assignment for this position is reporting to the Manager of Communications and the Manager of Program Planning and Evaluation and providing support to those departments.
The Program Assistant is responsible for performing all secretarial, program and administrative functions efficiently, ensuring continuity and confidentiality of information. Duties will include but are not limited to receiving and directing telephone calls, typing, filing, report generation and generating minutes of meetings. The Program Assistant works within a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of the program.
Qualified applicants must have successfully completed secondary school or equivalent plus vocational or specialized training in an administrative program. Outstanding oral and written communication and teamwork abilities are essential. Additionally, the incumbent must possess proven organizational and time management skills. Formal training and experience using information systems including various software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite and email is required. Experience performing website updates, including a basic knowledge of HTML code, familiarity with content management systems and the use of social media applications including Twitter and Facebook is preferred.
Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with ONA Allied Collective Agreement.
Salary range: $21.8559 per hour (70 hours in a two-week period).
